Coelacanth

Coelacanth
plywood, table knives, screws

I had to gather 5 kilos of one kind of material and create something out of it. I bought a bunch of table knives and arranged them to the shape of the Coelacanth. The stainless steel represents the longevity of the ancient fish which is still alive today but probably in the smallest numbers. Each cutting board is like a certain kind of person or groups of people who over-fish and want to take more than their plate or cutting board can handle.

Perfume Bottle...

 Media: Acrylic Paint

We had to create our own creature for this assignment. Something we have never seen before.
I love the shapes and types of perfumes bottles and incorporated that into my creature. The pink color is the color of the liquid inside of it and the tips of the wings spritz out the scent. The small feathers help waft the scent towards the viewer. The smell can make one feel relaxed. The scent is also powerful enough to create a portal to the galaxy...

Grass Creatures

Media: Water color and black marker

We had to choose two words and add human to that to create a character.
My two words were grass + eye + (human).
