In illustration class we had to take the creature we designed before and make a sculpture and environment for it. Below are some process shots...

 

I have different wires. I used the thickest for the main body shape. Medium for the wings and a much thinner one for the details of the wing featheries.

Here is the completed armature. Well, except for the wing details which aren't needed until the main body is there.

  

The body shape is mostly done here. This is when I would put on the details.
